We offer great work-life balance, flexibility and training opportunities.About this positionOur Customer Service team has a part-time vacancy starting November 2023 and requires an individual who is available two days a week, on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9.00am to 2.30pm. This 12 month, fixed-term position is classified as a Level 3 under the Enterprise Agreement.As a Customer Service Officer you will be the first point of contact for our customers and will:Have a sound knowledge of the principles underpinning quality customer serviceHave an understanding of council and community needsBe an active listener, who demonstrates empathy and has great communication skillsEnjoy providing assistance and advice across a broad range of topics, functions or issuesHave the ability to problem solve and the tenacity to follow things throughThrive in a team environment and have a positive can-do attitudeThe successful candidate will also have:Proven experience in a face-to-face customer service roleExperience in cash handling/bankingHave previous experience in Local Government or a sound understanding of the services Council provides.To be successful, the candidate will also be required to complete a pre-employment medical, submit a police clearance and provide a copy of any relevant licenses/qualifications upon request.To find out more about this position please review a copy of the job description.
