The role is also offering some great employment conditions that include training and professional development opportunities.About you and this position:As a member of our City Works Projects Team you will support the Team Leader City Projects to delivery of a range of construction and maintenance services related to the day-to-day construction of Councils civil infrastructure assets such as but not limited to road, footpath, traffic control devices, verge, kerbing and stormwater.This role includes responsibilities such as:Work on road reconstructions, rehabilitations and other projects as required under the direction of the Team Leader and/or Coordinator.Works as part of a concreting team undertaking kerb and water table, footpath, invert and other general concreting, paving, rubbling or backfilling related tasks as required.Contribute to the operational objectives of the works area and be active in searching for improved and more efficient methods and standards of City Services Works. Assisting with maintaining relevantCouncil databases (e.g. ECM, CRM) and the ability to use different forms of technology to assist in maintaining council’s database, records and customer request system and Microsoft Office Products.Providing a high level of customer service.As a successful candidate, you will have: EssentialCertificate III in civil construction OR a minimum 5 years’ experience in civil constructionExperience and/or formal qualifications skills in Construction, hazard and risk identification and maintenance practices for Civil infrastructureAbility to assist a Team Leader in supervising, leading and motivating a teamCurrent and valid Driver’s License & MR License.Sound experience in using computers, Microsoft Products (e.g., Word, Projects, Excel) and Corporate System (e.g., Finance One, ECM).DesirableBroad experience in the operation of machinery, plant and equipment, hand and power tools.Workzone traffic management ticketBackhoe and Grader ticketTo be successful, candidates will also be required to complete a pre-employment medical and submit a police clearance.This position is a full time, permanent position and is classified as a Grade 5.1 under the City of Campbelltown Field Staff Enterprise Agreement No 12, 2023 and relevant Award.
